  • Ensure Front of House is kept clean and tidy according to pre signed-off system at the start and close of each day, including galleries and viewing room
  • Opening and preparing the gallery in time for the arrival of staff and visitors at the start and close of each day
  • Providing a friendly and knowledgeable welcome to all visitors
  • Answering general queries and directing specific queries to members of the team (Sales, Exhibitions, Press etc.) in accordance to agreed protocol
  • Answering telephone and transferring calls and messages (in accordance to agreed protocol)
  • Transferring contacts from Guest Book to database for Mailer announcements
  • Overseeing and updating gallery voicemail system / QR Codes / wall texts
  • Managing CCTV
  • Formatting exhibition Works Lists, and managing any wall texts
  • Managing publications inc. sales, keeping track of books sold and updating inventory
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Managing general supply of stationary for offices and ordering when needed
  • Managing email account / updating bounce backs
  • Managing contacts database
  • Managing all aspects of exhibition openings, including ordering ice and drinks, managing on-site stock and clean-up and disposal
  • Overseeing of any hired staff, artist and client requests
  • Restaurant bookings (Artist / Client reservations)
  • Booking of travel for Senior Team

Full Time: Tuesday - Saturday 9:30-6:00pm
(evenings and weekends where necessary and during Art Fairs)
Salary commensurate with experience
