Ana Mendieta is included in ‘Beyond Infinity: Contemporary Art After Kusama’ at The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston.
‘Beyond Infinity’ is the 14th iteration of the ICA’s annual collection exhibition and seeks to open up the dialogue around Yayoi Kusama’s large-scale, immersive installation ‘LOVE IS CALLING’, currently on display at the museum.The artists in the show share Kusama’s interest in the infinite, as well as other themes such as the experience of rapture, and the threshold between life and death.
Photographs from Mendieta’s ‘Silueta’ series will be in dialogue with works by Louise Bourgeois, Eva Hesse, Nick Cave, Tara Donovan, Jimmy DeSana, Josh Faught, Ellen Gallagher and Josiah McElheny.
