in ‘Cracked’, Tristan Hoare Gallery, London
23 September – 29 October 2021
Amy Bessone, Takuro Kuwata and Hannah Wilke are included in ‘Cracked’ at Tristan Hoare Gallery, London, curated by Leonie Mir and on view until 29 October 2021.
Dedicated to hand-moulded ceramics made without the use of a wheel, this group exhibition focuses on contemporary artists who construct, sculpt and mould clay, creating an array of spiralling abstract forms, truncated mischievous characters and enchanted scenes.
In addition to Besson, Kuwata and Wilke, the exhibition features work by Aaron Angell, Rafaela de Ascanio, Alison Britton, Tommaso Corvi-Mora, Setsuko Klossowska de Rola, Matthew Lutz-Kinoy, Mai-Thu Perret, Sterling Ruby, Kaori Tatebayashi, Alessandro Twombly, Paloma Varga Weisz and Sophie von Hellerman, amongst others.
