Roy Oxlade features alongside Carole Gibbons and Max Wade in ‘Searching Minds,’ a three-person exhibition on view at Sid Motion Gallery, London.
‘Searching Minds’ brings together three artists from different generations whose work straddles the line between abstraction and figuration. Each showcases works on canvas and paper, underscoring the significance of both mediums and the dynamic interplay between material and subject matter. Oxlade emphasised the importance of drawing, advocating that the medium should not be seen solely as preparatory for canvas works; the act of mark-making stands on its own.
