Carol Rhodes is included in ‘Radical Landscapes’ at Tate Liverpool, on view from 5 May – 4 September 2022, a group exhibition comprising that presents a radical view of the British landscape in art.
From rural raves in Castlemorton to anti-nuclear protests at Greenham Common, ‘Radical Landscapes’ expands on the notion that landscape art is limied to paintings of lush green hills and reflects the diversity of both the British Landscape and the communities that inhabit it.
The exhibition features new commissions by Davinia-Ann Robinson and Delaine Le Bas, as well as over 150 paintings, sculptures, photographs and films from such artists as Rhodes, Jeremy Deller, Ingrid Pollard, Derek Jarman, Hurvin Anderson and Claude Cahun.
