Alison Jacques is pleased to host the launch of Dorothea Tanning: A Surrealist World, the new monograph by Alyce Mahon.
Join us on 23 July, 6–8 PM, for an exclusive evening featuring a conversation between the author, Alyce Mahon, Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art at Trinity College, Cambridge, and art critic and broadcaster, Ben Luke. They will discuss Mahon’s new book and explore how Tanning expanded the Surrealist movement in bold new ways and became a figure at the heart of the avant-garde, among a close circle of contemporaries including Joseph Cornell, Max Ernst, Lee Miller, and Man Ray.
