Museion presents a retrospective of the work of renowned French artist Nicola L. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore the artist’s multidisciplinary practice, which manifests itself in a surprising variety of media: from sculpture to collage, painting to drawing, performance, and film. ‘Nicola L. – I Am The Last Woman Object’ is the artist’s first museum exhibition in Italy and the most extensive to date.
Since the mid-1960s, Nicola L. has developed a body of work that is both playful and radical, imbued with ideals of equality, collectivity, and a subversive spirit. Her practice—often associated with Pop Art, Nouveau Réalisme, feminism, and design—also intertwines themes such as cosmology, spirituality, sexuality, environmentalism, and political resistance.
