Following the unveiling of her new public work sculpture as part of the Hackney Windrush Commission, the first public artwork in the UK to celebrate and honour the Windrush Generation, Veronica Ryan OBE speaks with David Olusoga OBE about her life and work. The conversation was initially live-streamed as part of Art Pass Live, an online event series organised by Art Fund.
Olusoga is a British-Nigerian historian, writer, broadcaster, film-maker and Professor of Public History at the University of Manchester. He is best known as the author of Black and British: A Forgotten History and presenter of numerous acclaimed documentaries, such as A House Through Time and the BAFTA-winning Britain’s Forgotten Slave Owners.
