Art historian Alayo Akinkugbe, founder of the Instagram account: @ABlackHistoryOfArt, which highlights overlooked black artists, sitters, curators and thinkers, and Raina Lampkins-Fielder, curator of the Souls Grown Deep Foundation, will discuss the different ways that artists have demonstrated how textiles can hold memories and histories in relation to a new display ‘Inherited Threads’ at Tate Modern, London.
