Dorothea Tanning is included in ‘Surrealistic Creatures’, a group exhibition at Max Ernst Museum, Brühl, on view from 3 October 2021 – 6 February 2022.
Comprising approximately 140 works by 74 international artists, ‘Surrealistic Creatures’ focuses on the world of animals and fantastical creatures in Surrealism. Positioning artworks alongside literary texts, the show stretches from the beginnings of the European Surrealist movement in the early 1920s to the turn of the century.
