‘Love, Lust and Freedom’ is the first exhibition organised in Denmark to use photography as a focus point for exploring queer lived experience. The exhibition showcases the works of both emerging and established photographers, depicting queer life in all its diversity, from coming-of-age stories to quiet glimpses of everyday life, to explorations of underground cultures.
The exhibition included works by Robert Mapplethorpe, Mengwen Cao, MC Coble & Louise Wolthers, Samet Durgun, Nan Goldin, Marvel Harris, Florian Hetz, Clifford Prince King, Julie Lauerberg, Sven Marquardt, Rafal Milach, George Nebieridze, Niels Nedergaard, Ralf Obergfell, Tero Puha, Laurence Rasti, Mary Steen, Christer Strömholm, Dónal Talbot, Birk Thomassen and Wolfgang Tillmans.
